Job Purpose
Lead and manage the team and activities for Information & Digital Solutions at OQ8 under delegated authority from Chief PTC, acting as IT Integrated Service provider & internal consultant for IDS requirements, as owner of all Information & Digital Solutions strategy and solutions for OQ8, through (1) Lead the team and activities for IT Strategy, Governance, Risk, Compliance, IT Contracts, Budget & Finance Management, Cyber Security, Information Management & Digital Delivery, IT Operations, Demand Mgmt. Commercial & Support Functions, and Demand Mgmt. OQ8 (OMT), (2) Oversees the development and scaling Omani-channel technologies across OQ8.
The position will act in accordance with OQ8’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Develops OQ8 Information & Digital Solutions (IDS) strategy in line with corporate strategic directions.
- Translate OQ8 business requirements into CIC’s action, ensuring to align with the Corporate Information & Digital Solutions (IDS) plans and creating balanced for further measurement of its performance for the success OQ8 strategic objectives, as well as contributing with the corporate success of PTC OQ8 performance.
- Lead and manage the team for the development and execution of Information & Digital Solutions (IDS) at OQ8
- Align OQ8 Information & Digital Solutions (IDS) with shareholders IDS standards.
- Member of shareholder’s Information & Digital Solutions integrated IDS, for synergies/alignment of IDS programs and initiatives.
- Executes IDS Corporate strategies in OQ8 including the programs with impact in OQ8 assets.
- Prepare IDS-relevant KPIs, monitor and ensures compliance and reports related to IDS performance that affect the organization.
- Develops OQ8– IDS-specific plans in line with the shareholders and all its business units for its strategic directions.
- Research at OQ8 the critical areas for new IT business development & other emerging opportunities (in adjacent and disruptive spaces) and present to Chief PT&C for consideration of new projects/initiatives.
- Support and cultivate an open innovation ecosystem for IDS OQ8 programs in alignment with shareholder’s ecosystem.
- Develops relevant IDS processes at OQ8 in alignment with corporate compliance.
- Ensure to cascade down the Corporate IDS culture in OQ8, in alignment with OQ8 culture.
Processes /areas
- Strategy & Governance: Oversees the team and activities for IT Strategy & Management, including OQ8’s IT strategy, enterprise architecture, IT investment planning, IT portfolio, program, and project management, IT sourcing strategy and vendor management, and the development of IT policies, for IT financial management, IT performance management, IT talent management.
- Digital Solution Delivery: Oversees the team and activities for Digital solution delivery (transformation) including Planning vision and implementing a multi-year organizational-wide change program integrating with stakeholders across all OQ8’s streams including the introduction of disruptive technologies and scenarios, the development and scaling Omani-channel technologies across OQ8 (including mobile, web platforms, etc.) with focus on integrating digital technology, and design of solutions (applications) to ensure the continuity and efficiency of the business
- IT Operations: Oversees the team and activities for IT Operations, End User Support, IT Service Management, IT Infrastructure & Network Management, and its Security Operations at OQ8.
- Cyber Security: Oversees the team and activities for Information & Cyber Security’s strategy, Policies, Standards, and its Governance in direct alignment with IDS Corporate Cybersecurity programs for the whole OQ8.
- Manager Demand Mgmt. Commercial & Support Functions Manager Demand Mgmt. OQ8 (OMT): Lead all the activities and team for Demand Management, ensuring a deep understanding of business processes and technology to Identify and elicit requirements, and align those with Corporate IDS initiatives, capturing and prioritizing OQ8 & its business demands, and providing support on business-led technology initiatives to ensure seamless and value orientated IT service delivery.

Education Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications for this position is a Bachelor’s degree in in IT, Information Systems, computer science, Business or Engineering.
- Master’s degree in computer science or a similar business related subject preferred
Language
Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required) | Arabic - Native (desirable)
