Position: QC Inspector Painting & Coating

Experience: 7 10 Years

We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector Painting & Coating with strong experience in the Oil & Gas industry .

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor surface preparation, blasting, painting, and coating activities as per approved specifications and procedures.
• Conduct inspection of coating works at various stages, including surface preparation, primer, intermediate, and final coats.
• Verify environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, dew point, and surface temperature before and during coating application.
• Perform and document coating inspection tests, including DFT, WFT, adhesion, holiday detection, and surface profile checks.
• Verify that paints, coatings, consumables, and application methods comply with approved specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs), technical datasheets, batch certificates, and inspection records .
• Raise and follow up on NCRs, inspection reports, and quality documentation where required.
• Ensure all painting and coating activities comply with project specifications, approved ITPs, method statements, and applicable international standards.
• Coordinate with the client, third-party inspectors, contractors, and site teams during inspection activities.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare daily/weekly quality reports.
• Ensure compliance with Oil & Gas project quality and HSE requirements .

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
• 5 10 years of relevant experience in Painting & Coating Inspection within the Oil & Gas industry .
• B-Gas Certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, abrasive blasting, coating application, and inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of relevant coating standards and specifications such as NACE/AMPP, SSPC, ISO, and project-specific requirements .
• Experience with inspection instruments such as DFT gauges, surface profile gauges, dew point meters, holiday detectors, and adhesion testers .
• Ability to read and understand coating specifications, drawings, ITPs, and method statements.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• GCC / Aramco-approved project experience will be an added advantage.
