Job Details

  • Ensure compliance with the Company's HSE Policy and associated procedures.

  • Attend witness and hold points as specified in the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).

  • Inspect and approve painting, coating, insulation, and fireproofing materials and related reports.

  • Review test packs and witness the required testing activities.

  • Attend daily progress meetings with the EPC Contractor and address quality-related issues.

  • Certify red mark-up drawings and final as-built drawings.

  • Provide daily feedback to the QA/QC Lead regarding quality issues.

  • Provide technical assistance for GRE, GRP, HDPE, and LLRTP projects.

  • Manage coating, insulation, fireproofing, and painting activities at both site and shop locations.

  • Implement QA/QC activities at the worksite, including subcontractor activities.

  • Review coating, painting, and testing deliverables.

  • Act as the focal point for quality control of GRE, GRP, HDPE, and LLRTP procurement, construction, installation, and testing activities.

  • Participate in kick-off and pre-inspection meetings, witness material testing, and bonder qualification activities.

  • Lead incident investigations related to GRE and HDPE systems.

  • Support the QA/QC Engineer in reviewing quality variances.


Duration: 6 Months, Extendable

Rotation Cycle: 6 weeks working & 2 weeks off

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.

  • BGAS Grade 2 or NACE Level 2 (minimum) Certification in Painting Inspection.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Off-Plot/On-Plot Coating, Painting, Insulation, and Fireproofing Inspector, responsible for coating and painting inspection activities on medium to major Oil & Gas EPC projects.

  • Thorough knowledge of international standards related to painting, coating, insulation, fireproofing, associated materials, and testing requirements.

  • Proficient in computer applications, including email, word processing, and spreadsheet software for general business use.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a GRE/GRP Supervisor.

  • Preferably completed a Company-approved vendor-specific training program in non-metallic construction, installation, commissioning, and QA/QC for GRE, HDPE, GRP, and LLRTP piping systems.

  • Thorough knowledge of international standards related to non-metallic piping and pipeline manufacturing and construction activities.
