Al Yuser is looking for a qualified and experienced Water Pipeline Engineer for water network projects in Oman.
Position: Civil Engineer / Water Pipeline Engineer
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in water pipeline projects, construction, and maintenance
* Experience with water distribution networks and NAMA projects preferred
* Strong knowledge of HDPE, DI & UPVC pipeline installation and maintenance
* Experience in excavation, pipe laying, jointing, testing, flushing, and commissioning works
* Knowledge of valves, chambers, fittings, pumps, and water network systems
* Ability to read drawings, prepare BOQ, reports, and work schedules
* Experience in site supervision, manpower management, and coordination with clients
* Knowledge of HSE requirements for excavation and pipeline works
* Valid driving license preferred
Responsibilities:
* Manage water pipeline installation and maintenance activities
* Supervise excavation, pipe laying, testing, and repair works
* Plan manpower, materials, tools, and equipment requirements
* Prepare daily progress reports and project documentation
* Ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of works

Skills
Technical & Material Expertise
- HDPE Jointing & Welding: Expert knowledge of butt fusion and electrofusion welding, including data logger operation.
- DI & UPVC Pipe Laying: Proficiency in push-on joints, mechanical jointing, and constructing concrete thrust blocks to anchor bends.
- Pressure Testing & Commissioning: Experience conducting hydrostatic pressure tests, pipeline flushing, and chlorination/disinfection.
Site Construction & Infrastructure
- Trenching & Excavation: Knowledge of soil stability, trench shoring, sand bedding preparation, and backfill compaction.
- Network Component Installation: Expertise in fitting isolation valves, air release valves, washouts, flow meters, and constructing chambers.
- Utility Mapping: Ability to read drawings and GIS maps to safely navigate around existing underground utilities (power, telecom).
Project Controls & Administration
- BOQ & Documentation: Capability to prepare Bills of Quantities, daily progress reports, and accurately mark up As-Built drawings.
- Resource Planning: Skill in organizing daily manpower, machinery (excavators, loaders), and tracking material inventory on site.
- Client Coordination: Experience dealing with NAMA representatives, consultants, and local authorities for inspections and work approvals.
Safety & Compliance
- HSE Compliance: Strict enforcement of safety protocols for deep excavations, confined space entry, and heavy lifting.
- Permit to Work (PTW): Experience securing necessary permits from municipalities and handling traffic road-diversion setups.
