Its Power Transmission Business, established in Mysore in 1976, specializes in high-speed high-power gearboxes having an installation base of 12000+ gearboxes, spanning over 80+ countries and catering to diverse applications & industry segments.

An Ideal Candidate:

Position Title : Manager - Design

Role Type : People Manager

Reporting to : AGM – Design

Location : Mysuru/Coimbatore 

Purpose of the role: .

Responsible for design and development of mechanical systems and sub-systems of high/low speed rotating equipment for varied application and work in close co-ordination with multi-discipline engineering teams.

Job Specifications/Profile:

• BE / B.Tech -Mechanical

• 15 + years of experience in the Design of Gears & Gear Boxes 

Key Competencies:

Key Responsibilities:

• Gearbox layout preparation

• Carry out all calculations as required

• Gear Sizing by using in-house / KISSsoft gear design software

• Bearing Sizing by in-house / KISSsoft gear design software

• Casing structural analysis

• Shaft analysis using KISSsoft gear design software

• Guiding & Managing team of Engineers & Draftsman

• Reverse engineering the gears & gear boxes based on site data

• Interacting with customer to understand the requirement etc.

• Interacting with suppliers

• Technical support to internal customers.

Personality traits / Competencies:

• Thorough knowledge on AGMA/DIN/ISO standards relevant to gears

• Design and Development of gear boxes from layout to assembly

• Guiding & Managing team of Engineers & Draftsman

• Hands on experience in Pro/E modelling software

• Hands on experience in KISSsoft gear design & shaft analysis

• Knowledge on reverse engineering

• Trouble shooting

• Result oriented & hard working

• Knowledge on API standards is an added advantage
