Our client operates fourteen manufacturing facilities producing power plant equipment and sugar-related products. Its Power Transmission Business, established in Mysore in 1976, specializes in high-speed high-power gearboxes having an installation base of 12000+ gearboxes, spanning over 80+ countries and catering to diverse applications & industry segments.




An Ideal Candidate:



Position Title : Sr Manager/AGM Contracts-Project Execution



Role Type : People Manager



Reporting to : Vice President – Marketing, Contracts & Services



Location : Mysuru




Job Role Summary



Responsible for leading the full contracts & project life cycle from order acceptance to last mile payment collection and TDS certificates which calls for timely payment collection, execution and periodic progress update to the customers.



He will handle domestic & global customers and will be the face to the customer during the entire execution and would ensure fulfillment of contractual obligation. 



Key Competencies:



Key Responsibilities



Drive execution from order acceptance to final payment collection to logistics including TDS certificates including MIS and management reports.



Conduct review meetings with stakeholders and periodically update customers on the progress.



Develop and implement standardized contract management processes, templates, and governance frameworks.



Identify, evaluate, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.



Lead resolution of disputes and claims through negotiation or coordination with legal counsel.



Interface with customers, JV partners, and suppliers on all contract-related matters to secure commercial interests.



Mentor and guide a team of contract and commercial executives to build organizational capability.



Support management in decision-making through risk assessments, contract summaries, and exposure analysis.



Maintain updated knowledge of international contracting standards (FIDIC, EPC, BOT models) and applicable laws.



Timely resolution of issues / disputes in consultation with marketing and other stakeholders.



Facilitate dimensioning activity in consultation with all the stakeholders.



Facilitate service personnel deputation for commissioning in consultation with all stakeholders

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.



Business acumen with ability to balance risk and commercial opportunity.



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.



Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, CRM and project management tools.



Sound knowledge on commercials, financials, payment instruments and incoterms




Job Specification



Bachelor ’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and additional degree / diploma in project management is preferred.



Minimum 20 years of experience in contract / project management in Engineered-To-Order capital goods industries



Proven track record of handling business in excess of 50 crores by value OR 200 transactions in a year



Exposure to international contracts and global customers preferred.
