Job Description

Main Responsibilities


  • Supervise and manage all civil construction activities on site, with a strong focus on pile foundations and solar PV plant infrastructure, including equipment foundations, inverter/transformer bases, cable trenches, access roads, drainage systems, and fencing.


  • Oversee contractors’ daily site activities to ensure full compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.


  • Review, evaluate, and approve civil method statements, ITPs, and shop drawings, particularly related to piling works and PV-related civil structures.


  • Coordinate and witness inspections, testing activities, and pile load tests; ensure timely closure of non-conformities.


  • Track construction progress, identify site issues or clashes, and prepare daily and weekly progress reports for the Project Manager.


  • Coordinate closely with electrical and PV teams, HSE personnel, and the EPC contractor to resolve site constraints and maintain project schedules.



Qualifications

Profile & Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.


  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in civil works supervision, with proven hands-on experience in pile foundation works and solar PV / renewable energy projects.


  • Experience in industrial, power, or energy projects is mandatory.


  • Prior GCC / Oman project experience is a strong advantage.


  • Solid knowledge of international construction codes, piling standards, and site QA/QC procedures.


  • Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills in English.


  • Available for short-notice mobilization to Sohar, Oman.


  • Full-time on-site role in Sohar for 4 months, with a possibility of extension.
