Job Purpose: The role of a Financial Controller in our company is multifaceted and crucial for maintaining financial health and regulatory compliance of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
- Accuracy and Compliance: Preparing accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Providing financial insights and reports to stakeholders, including investors, management, and regulatory bodies.
Budgeting
- Strategic Planning: Developing and managing budgets to align with the company's strategic goals and growth plans.
- Forecasting: Creating financial forecasts to predict future revenues, expenses, and cash flows.
- Variance Analysis: Analyzing budget variances to understand deviations from financial plans and taking corrective actions.
Cash Flow Management
- Liquidity Management: Monitoring and managing cash flows to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations.
- Working Capital Optimization: Managing receivables, payables, and inventory to optimize working capital.
- Investment Decisions: Making informed decisions about investments and financing to support the company's growth.
Merchant Settlement
- Timely Payments: Ensuring timely and accurate settlement of payments to merchants.
- Reconciliation: Regularly reconciling merchant accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Payment Gateway Commissions
- Fee Management: Tracking and managing payment gateway fees and commissions.
- Cost Optimization: Identifying opportunities to optimize costs associated with payment processing.
NPL (Non-Performing Loan) Accounts Reporting
- Monitoring: Regularly monitoring and reporting on non-performing loans.
- Provisioning: Ensuring adequate provisioning for potential losses from NPL accounts.
- Recovery Strategies: Developing and implementing strategies for the recovery of non-performing loans.
Regulatory Reporting
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and laws, including tax filings and audits.
- Reporting: Preparing and submitting regulatory reports as required by financial authorities.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinating internal and external audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and compliance with regulations.
Tax and VAT Reporting
- Tax Compliance: Ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns, including VAT.
- Tax Planning: Developing tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
- Regulatory Adherence: Staying updated with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Fundraising for Further Lending
- Capital Raising: Identifying and securing funding sources to support the company's lending activities.
- Financial Strategy: Developing financial strategies to ensure the availability of funds for lending and growth initiatives.
- Investor Relations: Managing relationships with investors and providing them with necessary financial information.
Financial Product Development
- Market Research: Conducting market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and potential demand for new financial products.
- Feasibility Studies: Performing financial feasibility studies to assess the viability and profitability of new products.
- Cost-Benefit Analysis: Analyzing the costs and benefits associated with developing and launching new financial products.
- Pricing Models: Developing pricing models that balance competitiveness with profitability.
- Revenue Projections: Creating revenue projections based on different pricing strategies and market scenarios.
- Sensitivity Analysis: Performing sensitivity analysis to understand the impact of various factors on pricing and profitability.
- Prepare an annual Money Laundering Compliance Report for the company’s Board of Directors, detailing the companies status against the AML objectives.
- Maintenance of update information of entities/individuals on restricted list of UN, OFAC, etc., in connections with AML/CTF verifications regarding existence of such account in the branches books.
- Monitor ongoing activities and transactions and AML compliance and report findings to CFO.
- Coordinate , liaise and resolve with the branches and operating units all queries related to AML and KYC and report unresolved matters and/or any significant findings to Manage Compliance AML/CTF.
- Asses the level of risk to individual areas to determine the level and frequency of training, tetsing and monitoring concerning AML and KYC.
Key Qualification:
- Bachelor Degree with 6 Years Experience
- CMA, CPA, ACCA with 4 Years Experience
