Job Title: General Manager Corporate Branding & Communication

Unit: Strategy & Innovation

Role Purpose:

Enhancing Omantel credibility, building trust with stakeholders, and increasing brand awareness, loyalty, and engagement through various communication channels, such as advertising, public relations, social media, influencers, ownership, events, and content marketing, among others.


Key Accountabilities :

  • Develop and implement divisional strategy aligned with Omantel’s business plans
  • Develop and implement the divisional budget and report on actual versus planned and any variances
  • Develop and maintain the division’s policies, processes and procedures
  • Develop the departmental objectives and ensure SMART KPIs are set for each role
  • Establish and maintain data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive branding strategy for Omantel and its subsidiaries
  • Oversee the continuous update of Omantel brand guidelines and visual identity
  • Oversee the creation and execution of branding and corporate communication campaigns to enhance brand awareness and loyalty
  • Lead the development of public relations strategies to promote positive relationships with the media and the public.
  • Lead the social media strategy to maintain Omantel’s online reputation
  • Oversee the planning and execution of events and sponsorships to enhance Omantel’s visibility and reputation
  • Work closely with the team to lead and manage high-profile Omantel events
  • Closely monitor crisis management support and communication during any potential reputational threats
