Roles & Responsibilities
The Finance Manager is responsible for the full financial management function of AMDC, covering financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, treasury, statutory compliance, and internal controls. As an OIA-affiliated company, AMDC operates within a governance framework that requires rigorous financial discipline and timely Board-level reporting. The Finance Manager serves as the Acting CEO primary financial advisor and is accountable for the accuracy and integrity of all financial information.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Pepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Lead the annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning process; present the budget to the Acting General Manager and Board as required.
- Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and banking relationships; ensure AMDC meets all payment obligations on time.
- Develop and maintain a robust dairy cost-accounting system (cost per litre, product-level profitability, MCC cost analysis).
- Oversee the monthly payroll review in coordination with the CAHRO; validate payroll cost against budget.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory returns in compliance with Oman Tax Authority requirements.
- Calculate and remit Social Protection Fund (SPF) contributions accurately and on schedule.
- Manage the external and internal audit process; implement audit recommendations within agreed timelines.
- Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls; design dual-authorization procedures for procurement and payments.
- Supervise the finance team; develop team capability through coaching and structured development plans.
- Oversee ERP financial modules; ensure data integrity and drive process automation where applicable.
- Prepare and present financial analysis and Board financial reports, including variance analysis, working capital metrics, and capex tracking.
- Support the Acting CEO on investment appraisals, cost-reduction initiatives, and OIA financial reporting requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA, MSc Finance) is an advantage.
- Professional accounting qualification: CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA (mandatory).
- Minimum 8 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior finance or Finance Manager role.
- Experience in a manufacturing or food & beverage environment is strongly preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of IFRS and Omani tax regulations.
- ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
- Experience in an OIA-affiliated or government-linked company is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
