Roles & Responsibilities

1. Product Design & Engineering

• Lead the design of solar mounting systems (roof-mounted, ground-mounted, triangulated structures)

• Perform and validate structural calculations (wind loads, uplift, stability, fatigue)

• Ensure compliance with Eurocodes and relevant international standards

• Define material specifications (steel grades, coatings such as Magnelis, thickness optimization)

2. Technical Validation & Ownership

• Act as final sign-off authority for all engineering outputs

• Review and approve drawings, calculations, and technical documentation

• Ensure designs are both safe and cost-efficient

3. Industrialization & Manufacturing Integration

• Work closely with production to ensure designs are manufacturable (rollforming, punching, etc.)

• Optimize designs for mass production and cost reduction

• Support factory setup (tooling, tolerances, production constraints)

4. R&D and Product Development

• Develop new product lines adapted to GCC conditions (high temperature, wind, corrosion)

• Improve existing designs for performance and cost efficiency

• Stay updated with industry trends and competitor products

5. Team Leadership

• Build and manage a team of mechanical and structural engineers

• Establish engineering processes, standards, and workflows

• Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality of output

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in:

  • Structural design (steel structures, construction, or solar mounting systems)

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Wind load calculations and structural analysis

  • Eurocodes or equivalent standards

  • Steel design and corrosion protection systems

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)

Preferred Experience

• Experience in solar mounting systems or renewable energy

• Experience in rollforming or steel manufacturing environments

• Familiarity with GCC environmental conditions is a plus

• Experience bringing products from design to production
