The IT director is responsible for providing vision and leadership in the development and implementation of information technology strategies. This role oversees the IT department, ensuring that the infrastructure, systems, and services are efficient, secure, and meet business needs.
Key Accountabilities
· Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with business goals, driving digital transformation to improve efficiency and customer experience.
· Oversee budgeting, resource management, and disaster recovery plans to ensure continuity and financial optimization.
· Lead and develop IT teams, fostering innovation and aligning efforts with organizational objectives.
· Collaborate with other department heads to ensure IT solutions support overall business needs.
· Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
· Implement modern solutions such as cloud computing and cybersecurity measures to maintain a robust infrastructure.
· Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect the organization’s data and systems.
· Ensure compliance with data protection laws through regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
· Manage the development and support of software applications, ensuring scalability and business alignment.
· Collaborate with vendors to acquire and implement new technologies that support organizational goals.
· Manage relationships with external vendors, including contract negotiation and service level agreements (SLAs).
· Select third party vendors for IT projects and ensure effective collaboration with outsourced service providers.
· Stay informed on emerging technologies and lead digital transformation projects to drive innovation.
· Recommend and implement technologies that provide a competitive edge and improve business performance.
· Identify and mitigate IT risks through proactive strategies and risk management.
· Oversee troubleshooting of critical IT issues and ensure timely resolution of system failures.
· Responsible for Oracle Fusion ERP in overseeing the implementation, customization, and ongoing optimization of the ERP system to align with business objectives. The role manages system integration, security, and vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations including leading ERP projects, providing user training and support, optimizing system performance, and leveraging reporting tools for data driven decision making.
Minimum Requirement
Education:
· Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. Master degree is a huge plus.
· Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
Experience:
· 10+ years of progressive experience in IT roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management position.
· Proven experience in managing large IT projects, including software development, system implementations, and infrastructure upgrades.
· Experience in developing and implementing IT strategies and digital transformation initiatives.
· Experience with cybersecurity practices, cloud computing, and data management.
