Objective:
TANMIA is establishing a dedicated Capital Raising and Investor Relations function within its Private Markets division to attract third-party institutional capital for TANMIA-managed funds, investment vehicles, co-investments, and discretionary mandates.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for developing a qualified investor pipeline, converting investor relationships into capital commitments, supporting the development and market positioning of new investment products through early investor engagement and market sounding, and building sustainable fundraising and investor-relations capabilities across TANMIA. The role requires a strong network across Oman, the wider GCC region and internationally, together with a proven ability to originate, negotiate, and close fundraising opportunities.
The position will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer, investment teams, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and other relevant functions to ensure that fundraising activities are commercially effective, properly governed, and aligned with TANMIA's investment strategies.
Key Routine Tasks:
Capital Raising and Business Development
Develop and execute a comprehensive capital-raising strategy for TANMIA's private-market funds, investment vehicles, co-investments, and institutional mandates.
Initiate, develop, and close capital commitments from sovereign entities, pension funds, family offices, banks, insurance companies, endowments, high-net-worth investors, and other institutional and private investors.
Leverage an established network across Oman, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other GCC markets to expand TANMIA's investor base.
Identify new fundraising channels, strategic partnerships, placement opportunities, and cross-border distribution arrangements.
Lead commercial discussions and support the negotiation of investment terms, mandates, and investor commitments in coordination with the relevant internal teams.
Investor Relations and Engagement
Develop and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with existing and prospective investors.
Lead investor meetings, roadshows, presentations, due-diligence sessions, and follow-up engagement throughout the fundraising cycle.
Coordinate the preparation of pitchbooks, proposals, investment presentations, due-diligence materials, and investor communications.
Ensure that investor messaging is clear, consistent, accurate, and aligned with each fund's investment strategy, performance profile, and commercial terms.
Maintain regular communication with investors and ensure the timely resolution of enquiries and information requests.
Function Establishment and Governance
Establish the operating model for TANMIA's Capital Raising and Investor Relations function, including its processes, governance, systems, and reporting arrangements.
Develop an investor-segmentation and targeting framework based on investor profile, strategic fit, mandate, appetite, and likelihood of conversion.
Implement a structured pipeline-management process covering origination, qualification, engagement, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
Establish appropriate investor-relationship management tools, records, documentation standards, and management dashboards.
Build, develop, coach, and mentor the investment team, progressively developing internal capability across fundraising, investor coverage, relationship management, product positioning, market sounding, negotiation, and closing.
Establish structured knowledge-transfer, and on-the-job development arrangements to ensure that the function develops sustainable institutional capability.
Develop appropriate talent-development plans for the function and identify high-potential staff who can progressively assume broader fundraising and investor-relations responsibilities.
Promote a strong fundraising and investor-oriented culture across the Investment Department and the wider organization by increasing awareness of institutional fundraising approaches, investor expectations, fundraising cycles, marketability considerations, and the importance of incorporating investor perspectives into product development.
Internal Coordination
Engage with the investment teams at an early stage of developing new funds, investment products, vehicles, and mandates to conduct preliminary market sounding and assess investor appetite, preferred structures, commercial terms, and positioning before the product is finalized.
Provide structured investor and market feedback to the investment teams and actively contribute to refining the investment concept, structure, target size, economics, terms, positioning, and fundraising strategy to improve marketability and probability of successful capital raising.
Act as the bridge between the investment teams and the investor market throughout the product-development process, ensuring that relevant investor feedback is incorporated while maintaining the integrity of TANMIA's investment objectives and commercial requirements.
Work closely with the investment teams to align fundraising priorities with fund strategies, transaction pipelines, commercial terms, and closing timelines.
Coordinate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to support investor onboarding, due diligence, documentation, and closing requirements.
Support executive management in strategic investor discussions and external stakeholder engagement.
Performance and Reporting
Deliver agreed annual and periodic capital-raising targets.
Maintain a reliable, up-to-date pipeline showing investor status, expected commitment, probability of conversion, next action, and anticipated closing date.
Provide regular reports to the Executive management covering fundraising progress, pipeline value, conversion rates, investor feedback, risks, and required actions.
Monitor market developments, competitor activity, investor appetite, and fundraising trends across Oman and the GCC.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications And Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Investment Management, or a related discipline.
A postgraduate qualification, such as an MBA or MSc in Finance or any relevant professional certificate, is preferred.
At least 15 years of relevant experience in capital raising, investment banking, private markets, asset management, institutional wealth management, private placement, or investor relations.
Demonstrable track record of originating and closing institutional capital commitments, preferably for private-market funds, alternative investments, or investment mandates.
Established senior-level relationships with sovereign entities, pension funds, family offices, financial institutions, and other professional investors across Oman,the wider GCC and internationally.
Experience in establishing or developing a capital-raising, placement, distribution, or investor-relations function.
Strong understanding of private-market investment structures, fundraising cycles, due-diligence requirements, fund economics, and investor decision-making.
Sound knowledge of the GCC investment landscape and relevant regulatory and cross-border considerations.
Fluency in Arabic and English, with excellent written, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management capabilities.
