The incumbent will be responsible for operating and monitoring the Cooling Bed, Dividing Shear, and Cold Shear to ensure smooth material flow, precise cutting, superior product quality, and safe operations while achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor the Cooling Bed, Dividing Shear, Cold Shear, and associated finishing equipment in the Rolling Mill.
• Ensure proper cooling, alignment, transfer, and discharge of finished bars from the rolling mill to the finishing section.
• Perform accurate cutting of TMT bars to commercial lengths as per production plans and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with Mill Pulpit Operators, Roller Operators, Finishing Engineers, and Dispatch teams to maintain continuous production flow.
• Monitor bar straightness, dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and cut-length tolerances.
• Minimize cobbles, misalignment, rejects, and production losses through efficient operation of the cooling bed and shearing equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment before, during, and after each shift to ensure reliable operation.
• Identify abnormal operating conditions and promptly report maintenance requirements.
• Support maintenance teams during preventive maintenance, planned shutdowns, and equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, downtime logs, and quality documentation.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, PPE compliance, operational SOPs, and company policies.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards by implementing 5S practices in the operating area.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.

• Strong knowledge of TMT/Bar Rolling Mill operations.
• Experience in Cooling Bed, Dividing Shear, and Cold Shear operations.
