Nama Water Services (Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company) is pleased to announce a "Training for Employment" , in collaboration with its contracted companies that offer permanent job opportunities in the water and wastewater sector.

Job Purpose

The CMMS Engineer is responsible for managing, developing, and optimizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support effective maintenance planning, asset management, work order control, and equipment reliability across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the CMMS platform to ensure accurate and efficient maintenance operations.
• Create, update, and manage equipment master data, asset registers, and maintenance plans.
• Generate and manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and maintenance notifications.
• Monitor maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, failures, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and performance reports related to maintenance activities.
• Support maintenance planning and scheduling with operations and maintenance teams.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency within the CMMS system.
• Assist in system upgrades, configuration, testing, and implementation of improvements.
• Provide training and technical support to CMMS users.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and maintenance teams for effective asset management.
• Ensure compliance with company maintenance standards and asset management best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience

Practical Experience: 0 (No prior work experience required)

Internship or academic exposure in maintenance systems or asset management is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of CMMS/EAM systems and maintenance workflows.
• Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance concepts.
• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools.
• Basic knowledge of asset management principles.
• Awareness of industrial maintenance operations and equipment lifecycle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

Soft Skills

• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage tasks under supervision and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions

Office-based with occasional site visits. May require support during maintenance shutdowns or system updates.
