Free Recruitment We are hiring for Leading Oil & Gas Company - Oman

To execute all electrical Protection preventative and corrective activities (if any), all electrical protection relays, schematic checks, CT and VT testing. Report to the Supervisor in relevant operational area The candidate shall be possessing minimum a degree, or equivalent, from a recognised university in electrical engineering. Any additional qualification in Electrical protection system is preferable. He shall have understanding of electrical protection setting calculations, short circuit studies, CT calculations etc. He shall have a good knowledge of control and protection schemes including trouble shooting. He shall have worked / be capable of working with all makes of numerical relays in addition to electro-mechanical and static types. This shall be verified during interview and practical test.

Minimum 10 years experience in a reputed firm(s) in electrical engineering works. Out of the 10 years he shall possess at least 3 years experience in testing and commissioning of protection system including trouble shooting. Experience in testing and commissioning of large gas turbine power stations, high voltage transmission system, and high voltage substations etc. is a must, as appropriate for the certification category requested. He should have a good knowledge of latest electrical protection relays and testing equipment. The individual shall possess PDO AEP (Authorised Electrical Person) authority certificate after successfully undergoing LV and HV ESR courses. He shall be well versed with PDO Electrical Safety Rules & Electrical Safety Operating Procedures and electrical permit system. He should also be familiar with PDO Health Safety & Environment (HSE) rules and specifications. The above condition of having AEP certificate can be relaxed if he is accompanied by an AEP, as defined in the ESR and ESOP for the following cases:

• Relay Vendor engineer carrying out testing own make relays
• Contractors testing engineer with project specific basis approval
