Roles & Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum. Develop lesson plans that meet curriculum objectives and students' learning needs. Use a variety of effective teaching strategies and assessment methods. Prepare, administer, and mark assignments, tests, and examinations. Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate academic records. Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Participate in school meetings, professional development activities, and school events. Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress when required. Comply with all school policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.

Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken. Strong classroom management skills. Effective communication and presentation skills. Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to assess student performance and provide constructive feedback. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and educational technology platforms. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Candidate Profile

Academic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field. A recognized teaching qualification such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), PGCE, Postgraduate Diploma in Education, or an equivalent teaching certification is preferred.

Experience
Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in Business Studies. Experience teaching the Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level curriculum or another recognized international curriculum is preferred. Experience preparing students for international examinations.

Preferred Skills
Familiarity with the Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum. Ability to teach both IGCSE and AS/A Level Business Studies. Experience with project-based learning and student-centered teaching approaches. Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams.

Preferred Certifications
Valid teaching license (where applicable). Professional certifications or training in teaching, assessment, or educational technology. Safeguarding and Child Protection training.
