Overview
Prismecs is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator – Demobilization Project (Oman) to manage supply chain, inventory, and local procurement activities during an active plant shutdown and demobilization project.
This role is project-based (estimated 2–4 months) and we are hiring locally within Oman for immediate mobilization.
The Logistics Coordinator will serve as the main local point of contact for purchasing, logistics coordination, and administrative support, ensuring efficient handling of materials, equipment, and site requirements during dismantling and project execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesHealth, Safety, Environment & Compliance (HSE)• Follow all HSE policies and safety procedures on site
• Ensure compliance with environmental and transportation regulations
• Coordinate with HSE team to ensure safe logistics operations
• Promote safe handling, storage, and movement of materials
Shutdown & Demobilization Logistics• Coordinate logistics activities during plant shutdown and demobilization
• Manage movement, tracking, and documentation of dismantled equipment
• Support packing, storage, and transportation of plant assets
• Ensure proper tagging and tracking of materials and equipment
• Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, and site teams
Local Procurement & Site Support (KEY ROLE)• Act as
main local point of contact for purchasing and admin support • Source local vendors and suppliers for materials and services
• Request quotations and support procurement processes
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery timelines
• Coordinate urgent site requirements and material requests
Warehouse & Inventory Management• Maintain and update CMMS inventory system
• Track parts, consumables, tools, and materials
• Ensure warehouse organization and housekeeping
• Support inventory audits and stock control
Logistics & Transportation• Plan and coordinate transportation of goods (local & international)
• Select cost-effective routes and transport methods
• Ensure compliance with regulations for transport of materials
• Optimize logistics to reduce cost and delays
Supplier & Cost Management• Build and maintain supplier relationships
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in procurement and logistics
• Support budgeting and cost control initiatives
Risk & Reporting• Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
• Support contingency planning for disruptions
• Provide updates to Plant Manager and project team

Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain
• Experience in industrial, oil & gas, or power plant environments
• Strong experience with inventory systems / CMMS
• Experience in vendor sourcing and procurement coordination
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
