Position Title : Service Engineer

Purpose of the role:

Triveni is looking for a dynamic Service Engineer to handle installation, commissioning, overhauling, and troubleshooting of gears and gearboxes at domestic and global sites. The role involves end-to-end execution of field service activities in line with contractual obligations, ensuring timely delivery, customer satisfaction, and service revenue generation.

The position also carries responsibility for identifying and generating business leads for spares, services, refurbishments, AMCs, and ARCs 

Key Competencies:

Key Responsibilities:

Execute installation, commissioning, overhauling, and troubleshooting of gears and gearboxes at customer sites

Study scope of work, technical documents, and drawings; generate service orders in SAP

Coordinate with customers for manpower, tools, and site readiness

Collaborate with internal teams to identify problem areas and finalize corrective actions

Perform alignment of drive and driven equipment during installation and commissioning

Follow standard procedures and guidelines based on equipment configuration and application

Conduct trials and checks at site during service and troubleshooting activities

Prepare detailed service reports and generate service invoices

Record assembly parameters, alignment readings, and ensure signing of MOM (Minutes of Meeting)

Collect technical information on other make gears/gearboxes and identify nearby installations

Track shutdown activities at customer sites

Generate service, spare, and refurbishment enquiries and business leads

Metrics:

Timely completion of installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting

Customer satisfaction on services delivered

Effective root cause analysis and process improvement implementation

Accuracy in shutdown tracking and market intelligence collection

Number of service and spare enquiries generated

Strong written and spoken English

Hindi communication skills (mandatory)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Specifications/Profile:

BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

2–3 years of experience handling rotary equipment (Industrial Gearboxes, Pumps, Blowers, Turbines, Compressors) in the capital goods industry

Willingness to travel extensively, including long durations on short notice

Proficient in MS Office and SAP
