General Manager is responsible for leading and driving the company’s commercial strategy and performance across the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENAT) region. The role has full accountability for revenue growth, market expansion, portfolio performance, and strategic partnerships, with a strong focus on government business, market access, and sustainable growth in complex healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities


·      Develop and execute the regional MENAT commercial strategy, aligned with corporate objectives and local market dynamics

·      Lead sales, marketing, market access, and business development functions across MENAT countries

·      Drive revenue growth through tenders, institutional sales, and private market channels

·      Oversee pricing, reimbursement, tender strategy, forecasting, and portfolio optimization across diverse markets

·      Build and manage strong relationships with Ministries of Health, regulatory authorities, GPOs, key hospitals, and distributors

·      Identify, evaluate, and execute licensing, in-licensing, and strategic partnership opportunities relevant to MENAT markets

·      Lead new market entry strategies, product launches, and lifecycle management across the region

·      Ensure effective distributor management, including selection, performance monitoring, and governance

·      Own regional P&L, budgeting, and profitability, ensuring financial discipline and sustainable margins

·      Lead and develop senior commercial and cross-functional teams across multiple countries and cultures

·      Ensure compliance with local promotional codes, pricing regulations, and ethical standards across MENAT

·      Represent the company in high-level negotiations, government engagements, and strategic alliances

 



Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or related field (MBA strongly preferred)

·      Minimum 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with significant MENA, and or GCC regional exposure

·      Proven leadership experience in commercial, market access, tendering, and distributor-led models

·      Strong understanding of MENAT healthcare systems, pricing frameworks, reimbursement pathways, and regulatory environments

·      Demonstrated success in government tenders, institutional business, and partnership-driven growth

·      Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

·      Ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-country, and culturally diverse environments
