As a Laundry Assistant, you will support the daily laundry operations, ensuring all linens, towels, staff uniforms, and guest items are processed efficiently and to IHG brand standards. Your work helps uphold the cleanliness and comfort our guests expect across all IHG hotels.



A little taste of your day-to-day



Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:




  • Process all hotel linens, towels, and uniforms through washing, drying, ironing, and folding according to IHG brand standards.

  • Inspect items for cleanliness, damage, or wear, reporting issues promptly.

  • Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, following training and safety protocols.

  • Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards.

  • Handle guest laundry and dry-cleaning services professionally and with care.

  • Sort, count, and store linens appropriately to support smooth housekeeping operations.

  • Follow IHG Way of Clean procedures to maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.

  • Support housekeeping and other departments by providing timely linen replenishment.

  • Maintain accurate records of laundry loads, chemicals, and supply usage when required.


What do we need from you?




  • Educational Attainment: Minimum High School Diploma / Secondary Education or equivalent.

  • Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience is an advantage, though full training will be provided.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

  • Comfortable with tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and operating machinery.

  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed.

  • Good time-management and organizational skills.

  • Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and safety practices (training provided).

  • Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Commitment to IHG standards, health & safety protocols, and excellent guest care.
