Purpose of the Job

·       To develop, coordinate, and oversee the annual company-wide stock and data accuracy strategy across The Client warehouses, surplus yards, satellite stores, rigs, and third-party contractor locations.

·       To ensure full alignment with The Client’s governance framework, embedding accuracy, compliance, transparency, and assurance into all stock control activities.

·       To lead stock count projects by planning, resourcing, and delivering them within agreed scope, timeline, and quality standards.

·       To lead provide accurate stock data in SAP and digital platforms, enabling operational excellence, effective material planning (MRP), investment recovery, and informed decision-making.

·       To champion digitalization, advanced analytics, fraud prevention, and sustainability practices in stock management, driving continuous improvement and resilience.

·       To act as the central focal point for audits, assurance, and stakeholder engagement, providing The Client with reliable visibility and control over its overall inventory

  

Principal Accountabilities

 

HSSE & Governance

  • Maintain HSSE as top priority, ensuring zero harm to people, assets, and the environment.
  • Enforce The Client House Rules, HSE Golden Rules, and Life-Saving Rules (LSR) across all stock management projects.
  • Ensure governance, accountability, and auditability of stock-checking processes.
  • Ensure all stock reconciliations are carried out accurately, transparently, and in full compliance with governance requirements, while proactively identifying areas for improvement to strengthen inventory assurance and operational efficiency.

 

Strategic Planning & Coordination

  • Develop and publish the annual stock count strategy and roadmap, endorsed by The Client management.
  • Plan, schedule, resource, and coordinate with stock check, mitigating risks and ensuring effective execution.
  • Define annual development plans, KPIs, and performance objectives for the stock management workforce.
  • Report, monitor and improve stock check team performance by improving Speed , Quality , Cost and Governance  

 

Operational Oversight

  • Report, Monitor, validate, and consolidate results from stock counts, reconciliations, and preservation checks.
  • Supervise and coordinate Stock Checkers and Senior Stock Checkers, ensuring adherence to standards and schedules.
  • Manage shift schedules, leaves, manpower allocation, logistics, facility, flight , office and accommodation requirements for smooth execution.
  • Provide and conducting training, coaching, and mentoring to uplift workforce capability and ensure consistency.

·       Support in streamline processes and controls to own the MRP portfolio including business performance reviews to meet project schedules. Highlight inconsistencies and propose improvement/ way forward on stock management to enhance deliveries of future requirements and compliances.

·       Learn through available tools, attend all necessary training, identify areas of improvement in stock management and seek the required support from the team and maintain regular and continuous communication with various stakeholders, including material users, stock sponsors, stores personnel, buyers, Price Agreement holders, buyers and vendors and suppliers to anticipate all types of demand and supply changes

·       Review the inventory reports including ageing reports and in consultation with stock sponsors, propose write-offs of non-moving items to enhance material track record and reduce company stock-holding cost

·       Expedite and keep record of stock availability, provide monthly material status report, liaise with customers, record non-moving items, expedite rush and overdue automated orders (seek assistance from Procurement specialist) and report non-performance of vendors to Team Lead to avoid deferment.

Digitalization & Innovation

  • Champion digital adoption (SAP mobility, RFID, dashboards, handheld devices).
  • Drive innovation through AI, drones, IoT sensors, anomaly detection, and remote verification tools.
  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards and advanced analytical reports for senior management.
  • Lead the integration of predictive analytics and automation in inventory governance.

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Assurance

  • Act as focal point for audits, providing transparent evidence and assurance of inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with MM, Procurement, Finance, HSE, and Operations to align stock activities with corporate objectives.
  • Support Finance and senior leadership in ensuring accurate month-end and year-end reporting.
  • Ensure lessons learned, non-compliance findings, and best practices are embedded in future cycles.

 

Value Creation & Continuous Improvement

  • Support working capital optimization by identifying surplus, slow-moving, and obsolete materials for redeployment, reuse, or safe disposal.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce discrepancies, fraud risks, ghost/unrecorded stock and UOM Discrepancies
  • Drive sustainability by embedding preservation, waste reduction, and circular economy principles into stock management.
  • Ensure transparent reporting of discrepancies, variances, and corrective actions to management.

Skills

Qualifications/Experience Needed

·       Minimum bachelor’s in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.

·       Professional certification in Inventory Management, Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2), or ERP systems (preferred).

·       Minimum 6 years’ experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain.

·       At least 3 years in supervisory, project coordination, or assurance-focused roles.

·       Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP (MM module) and digital inventory tools.

·       Proven track record in coordinating large-scale stock count or projects.
