Haffaf Muscat is a leading company in Muscat, dedicated to providing high-quality materials and supplies. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sourcing Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in our supply chain operations.

Position Summary

The Sourcing Officer will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of a wide range of materials, with a strong focus on oil and gas supplies such as valves, flanges, and gaskets, as well as general building materials. 

This role requires an individual with a proven track record in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and a deep understanding of the Oman or UAE markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Sourcing: Proactively source and procure high-quality materials, with a primary focus on the oil and gas sector and building materials.
• Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers. Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure quality and reliability.
• Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for supply contracts to secure the best possible pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Market Research: Stay informed on market trends, new products, and potential suppliers. Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative solutions.
• Internal Coordination: Collaborate with various internal departments to understand their material requirements and ensure timely and accurate procurement.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate procurement records, including supplier information, contracts, and purchase orders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sourcing Officer or in a similar procurement role.
• Extensive knowledge of the oil and gas industry supply chain, including specific experience with valves, flanges, and gaskets.
• Strong experience in sourcing building materials.
• In-depth knowledge of the Oman or UAE markets is essential.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
