ROLE PURPOSE
The product manager will be responsible to provide full support to VP - Products in devising, maintaining, and building a products strategy consumer domain for mobile or fixed. The product manager will gear the management of consumer and SMEs products. The product manager will be responsible on implementing new products that are demanded, competitive on price, competitive on features and customer experience, deliver solid gross margin and ensure proper management of value proposition.
The product manager will ensure management of existing products leads to products remaining in line with the latest trends in the industry, remain competitive on features and price and remain profitable as per requirements.
The product manager will ensure products are managed and developed based on different customer segments (segmentation could be either by consumers or SMEs, by price and disposable income, by targeted customer type of business etc.) and their needs.
The product manager shall be able to present product overviews and compere with the latest trends. Provide high level technical design, product sizing and architecture, train Awasr's salesforce. Provide support and development of the relationship between Awasr and customers through working closely with the sales team. Ability to develop upsell products and additional service offerings to the existing customers within their Portfolio. Contribute positively to the achievement of Awasr's overall values and objectives.
The product manager should focus on Gross profit, Value proposition, Competitive mapping, Business cases, Customer journeys, Terms and conditions, Product features, USPs, Telco and adjacent products, Product development, Product management, Analytics on product performance, Product description documents, Working with Marketing for product catalogues for use in sales activities, Implementation through the Technology team, Product technical design, Product innovation, Applying latest technologies, Manage cannibalisation, Ownership over gross profit margin through setting prices.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Accountabilities
* Take end-to-end ownership of the consumer products for consumers and SMEs.
* Provide sales support as evangelize product architecture, identify new business requirements and work on developing of Awasr consumer product roadmap.
* Work closely with business stakeholders to help define the product strategy that meets the customer needs.
* Ensuring the leadership team has full visibility in the progress in the portfolio and can confidently provide strategic support when needed, without requiring explicit motivation.
* Negotiate a favourable environment in the organization for the portfolio to grow both in terms of richness of content & capability and in terms of its footprint & number of reference customers.
* Work closely with the development teams to explain the requirements of new features and change requests for current features.
* Ensure the internal / external development teams to upkeep world-class quality in the product.
* Lead competitor analysis, market analysis, product analysis, business cases, product evolution, feature prioritization, high-level requirement gathering, and product marketing.
* Motivate customer-facing teams to be ambassadors for the portfolio for customers.
* Attend vendor training and online workshops to keep abreast of new technologies and products.
* Contribute to the work of the Continual Service Improvement of managed services and solutions sales for customers.
* Ensure infrastructure architecture and designs meet ISO27001 and PCI standards where appropriate, and work with the Awasr security team to review and build in the necessary controls where required.
* Take part in new product development activities, and technical performance reviews of the product.
* Work alongside the allocated project manager in the delivery of the products to the market.
* Work with marketing and sales in building the best Go to Market strategies for the products.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications
* Bachelor's or equivalent.
Professional Qualifications & Experience
* 8-10 years of experience of a graduate, in a similar role within the telecom industry.
* 5-7 years of experience for a post-graduate.
Sector of Previous Experience
* Customer experience, sales, product development.
