We are looking for a LNG Tank Piping Mechanical Supervisor   for one of our clients with the following details:  

Location: Sohar, Oman

Duration: 12 months - Renewable

Work Status: Residential, 6 days per week

Starting date: ASAP – Q1 2025

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Ability to deliver a HSE culture committed to safely delivering the Project targets and a safety leadership


• Proven track record of Experience on large similar scale oil and gas projects in the Mechanical and Piping construction infrastructure from both owner and contractor perspective.


• Degree required


• Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience for Mechanical/ Piping works


• English written and verbal communication skills, Arabic is a plus


• Effective Communication, Organization, Time management and Reporting skills.


• Proven ability to liaise professionally with Engineering and EPC Contractors and other key stakeholders on site


• Proven ability to interpret and manage project schedules and report against field progress


• Proven ability to manage and influence a team and develop an effective culture through respect


• Knowledge of appropriate codes, standards and good construction and engineering practices specifically within the mechanical, piping, welding construction disciplines,

Activities

• To adopt and to demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSE, to respect Project HSE requirements/regulations and to ensure implementation of HSE rules.


• HSES performance in execution of works in his area.


• To ensure that the construction is done in respect to the design dossier and in line with the Statement of Requirements.


• To set up and maintain work plans with the Contractor (if applicable; otherwise with sub-Contractors ) to have all deliverables appropriate plans, procedures and programs for safe and effective execution;


• To report to the LNG Tank SITE Construction COMPANY Representative daily bases.


• Site Progress reporting, with highlights on potential schedule overrun and possible mitigations


• To propose actions as required for the proper execution of the activities under his responsibility. Resolution of issues raised by EPC Contractor, whether technical or organizational, in line with his management


• To ensure confidentiality of all the documentation produced (whatever its support)


• The LNG Tank Piping Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the mechanical/ piping discipline construction activities, in close contact with and support to the EPC Contractor and the relevant sub-contractors. This shall include all required measures to ensure a safe performance of the construction activities as per schedule, to hand-over a fit-for-purpose facility to the commissioning team.


• As a Company project representative there is an implied duty to cooperate, facilitate, encourage and support the Construction Contractor and their Subcontractors to achieve the expected project outcomes.


• This role requires the LNG TANK PIPING MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR to work and interface with other Company discipline Supervisor, Superintendents and the Construction Contractor.


• The role requires demonstrable safety leadership that sets a high benchmark to be sustained throughout the project.
