An institutional investor with assets across diversified industry sectors is looking to hire a senior private equity or direct investments professional, reporting directly to the Director of Diversification Investments. The right applicant will have gained over 12+ years solid experience in leading the restructuring of distressed assets.

Our client and its portfolio entities are key players in regional investment and project development across diverse industry sectors. The role is to drive the full deal cycle, managing every stage from origination to exit. This includes taking charge of all investment and project development activities across greenfield and brownfield projects.

This role calls for a seasoned professional with a proven record in end-to-end investment and project development. The ideal candidate will work closely with sector managers and portfolio companies, ensuring rigorous adherence to processes and successful advancement through each development stage. You will provide expert support in structuring, conducting feasibility assessments, framing terms, and facilitating deal closures, with a focus on maximizing investment returns.

Have oversight of the entire investment and project development process, guiding activities across all sectors. Assess existing frameworks, pipelines whilst collaborating extensively with asset managers and portfolio companies to plan, structure, and advance development initiatives. Strategic planning will be a key component, as you create detailed investment and project development plans aimed at reaching final investment decision (FID) and execution, setting clear milestones and time lines.

In this role, you will manage a master plan and a live register, tracking investment and project development milestones and progress. Support and assist teams and portfolio companies in the effective implementation and execution of investment and project development plans, with a focus on driving excellence and aligning with long-term organisational goals. Guide the structuring, pre-feasibility, and detailed feasibility phases, ensuring that all necessary steps for terms framing, closing, and final execution are effectively managed.

You will also need to identify strategic options tailored to each opportunity, offering guidance throughout structuring and financing stages. Oversee negotiations with partners, stakeholders, and potential investors. Monitoring progress and providing feedback, advising internal stakeholders of any necessary interventions while managing potential risks and developing mitigation strategies. With strong networks, advisers, and partners, you will leverage relationships to support development efforts and access relevant expertise, fostering strong partnerships with portfolio companies and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
