About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a major food production client for the role of General Manager - Supply Chain, based in Muscat, Oman. This senior leadership position requires a seasoned professional to lead and develop an integrated supply chain strategy. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, optimise logistics, and ensure cost-effective procurement and delivery of goods to national and international markets. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement an integrated supply chain strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory, warehousing, and transportation.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing and delivery of goods and services.
• Lead supplier management initiatives, including performance evaluation and long-term relationship development.
• Manage strategic sourcing plans and optimise procurement spending through innovative category management.
• Drive the implementation of logistics strategies to enhance corporate performance at minimal costs.
• Champion the In-Country Value (ICV) strategy to support the development of local suppliers.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience: 13+ years in supply chain management, with leadership roles in procurement, logistics, and operations. At least 3 years in a similar role within complex industries, ideally in the food production sector. Experience managing global supply chain operations and transformations.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial or Process Engineering, or a related field. Master's in Business or Supply Chain Management (preferred).
• Skills and Competencies: Deep expertise in supply chain models, logistics operations, and transportation systems. Strategic thinking, complex problem-solving, and effective negotiation skills. Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English, with strong technical and financial terminology. Hands-on knowledge of international trade terms and risk management systems.
