Job Purpose
Provides strong engineering support on Production scheduling (Operation Scheduling & Production Planning & Coordination), acting as the main focal point between Commercial Optimization and the Refinery/Producing asset OQ8 on plant Scheduling, under TL Production Scheduling scope’s, through: (1) Scheduling the day-to-day operations of the production processes by coordinating the flow of materials, manpower, and equipment to optimize production efficiency and meet customer demand, (2) Ensure safe operations involving Production Scheduling end to end process FUs. (3) Leading the direct communications with the assets production units for OQ8 production scheduling activities purposes and provide efficient and accurate feedback on immediate production targets and fulfilling customer orders on time, (4) Ensure that any changes to Production Schedule, is in agreement with Commercial Optimization, and is delivered as expected, to optimize the production output while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency. (5) Ensure that the monthly Production Schedule in at OQ8 refinery is fully optimized on weekly/daily basis, and based on maximizing the plant/unit availability and flexibility, in line with the commercial opportunities, and (6) Maintaining and developing updates on APS scheduling tool to reflect actual asset operational capability against an agreed rolling plan; In order to ensure the production is aligned with the delivery commercial destination point and subsequently, the final markets.

Accountabilities
Operation Scheduling
Support and Communication
- Provide support and advice on Operation scheduling.
- Act as the main liaison between Commercial Optimization and the Refinery/Producing OQ8 plant Scheduling.
- Lead direct communications with the assets production units for Plant scheduling activities purposes and provide efficient feedback.
Safety and Optimization
- Ensure safe operations involving OQ8 Plan Scheduling end-to-end process.
- Ensure changes to Production Schedule align with Commercial Optimization and are delivered as expected.
- Maximize the monthly Production Schedule's optimization on a weekly/daily basis, aligning with commercial opportunities.
Tool Management and Development
- Maintain and develop updates on APS scheduling tool.
- Lead actions required to capture Optimization for the safe operation of the refinery.
- Ensure effective usage and maintenance of inputs to APS for scheduling.
Value Capture and Project Proposals
- Implement deviations from the plan to capture value.
- Propose new projects adding value by improving plant and logistics flexibility.
- Coach Plant Scheduling team and young professionals on Supply Chain matters.
Production Planning & Coordination
Plan Evaluation and Communication
- Challenge the production plan on availability, capacity, and unit rates.
- Recommend a realistic monthly plan for approval to Commercial Optimization.
- Coordinate day-to-day communication with Refineries and Producing Assets.
Schedule Creation and Communication
- Create the operational production schedule (unit load with planned quality and quantity).
- Communicate Production Schedules and changes to Commercial Optimization and key stakeholders.
Monitoring and Risk Assessment
- Monitor execution of the operational production schedule.
- Share deviations on the schedule with the Commercial Optimizer.
- Monitor technical performance of the asset, assess capability, and communicate risks.
Inventory Management and Reporting
- Monitor and report hydrocarbon intermediate tank inventory levels.
- Ensure sufficient ullage and timely drawdown from intermediate tanks.
- Prepare and update relevant controls of the process execution, including reporting procedure.
Progress Evaluation and Change Management
- Evaluate the resource plan and progress measurement system.
- Participate in the change management process and trends analysis.
- Highlight potential problems and recommend remedial action.

Notable Working Conditions. Office environment, intensive computer screen use, sporadic visits to operation site.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain or relevant field.
Language Requirements
Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required)

- Working experience in Supply Chain Management
- Experience in scheduling system, planning, and scheduling standards and procedures involving interfaces with all downstream areas.
- Experience providing a complete planning service and demonstrating expertise in managing large, complex production with a global reach.
- Working knowledge of APS and PIMS model.
- Proficient user of Primavera P6 and spreadsheets, with database capability.
- Clear understanding of marketing business’s regulations.
- Able to develop branding and value propositions for the products.
- Good understanding of polymer market Industry, oil, and gas / chemicals industry
- Experience with product portfolio management
- Can develop accurate short-term market forecasts for key markets.
