Position:
ELECTRICAL SITE ENGINEER - MAINTENANCE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES
Location:
OMAN
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules using SAP to ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with Nama and Oman standards.
- Diagnosed and troubleshot electrical faults, coordinating repairs in a timely and cost-effective way.
- Emergency Response Management:
- Lead the emergency response team for electrical incidents, ensuring prompt and effective action to minimize downtime and safety risks.
- Maintain a well-documented log of all emergency incidents and corrective actions taken, using SAP for reporting and analysis.
- Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders during emergencies, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Project Coordination:
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely maintenance and emergency service tasks are completed.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for all maintenance and emergency activities, ensuring they are aligned with project goals and client expectations.
- Supervise and guide junior engineers and technicians, providing training and support as necessary.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance and emergency services are performed in compliance with Nama and Oman electrical standards and company policies.
- Regularly review and update safety protocols, conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective measures.
- Manage the documentation and filing of all quality assurance records, ensuring they are readily accessible for audits and inspections.
- SAP Utilization:
- Utilize SAP for all maintenance and emergency service operations, including work order management, inventory control, and performance reporting.
- Generate and analyse SAP reports to optimize maintenance schedules and resource allocation.
- Train team members on the effective use of SAP for maintenance and emergency service management.
- Driving and Site Mobility:
- Ensure availability to travel across various locations within as required by the project, using company vehicles.
- Managed and oversaw the transport logistics for team members and equipment during emergency responses.
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance and emergency services, preferably within the utilities or industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of Nama and Oman electrical standards and regulations.
- Valid Oman driving license.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English and knowledge of Arabic are advantages.
- Electrical Authorization Certificate (SAP) in accordance with Oman and Nama Group standards.
- Certification in First Aid and Safety, with specific training in electrical safety.
- Certification in safety management or emergency response.
- Familiarity with renewable energy systems and their maintenance.
Work Environment
- The position requires working in remote areas, often in harsh environmental conditions.
- The role involves on-call duties and may require extended hours during emergencies.
- Must work independently and be available for immediate response as needed.
