Procurement & Contracts Expert

Renardet is seeking for a Procurement & Contracts Expert that should be highly qualified and experienced in their respective field, having professional work experience in the Sultanate of Oman. The Expert will be responsible for providing advice and technical assistance on all issues to the related subject and work closely with a dedicated team of engineers. They will also provide the guidance and plan the training to these engineers. Further requirements for this position are as follows:

  • Prepare TOR and Tender documents for design and construction contracts.
  • Review and approve the Tender Documents prepared by the consultants for construction contracts.
  • Arrange site visits and pre-bid meetings with bidders.
  • Reply to bidders’ queries, prepare amendments as necessary.
  • Review the submitted bids and make recommendations for selection of bidders.
  • Attend post-tender meetings if required.
  • Provide expert advice on all contractual issues related to the project implementation including construction claims for time, money and compensation, etc.
  • Review of variations and change orders.
  • Assist in dispute resolution.


REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from reputed institutions (the qualification attained from outside of Oman should have same equivalency from Ministry of Higher Education of Oman.
  • Membership with the Oman Society of Engineers is a must.
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in a senior position in road construction domain with specific experience in project procurement and contracts.
  • Overall, not less than 10 years of professional experience in Sultanate of Oman preferably in similar job roles.
  • Well versed and familiar with Sultanate of Oman and FIDIC Conditions of Contract as well as Oman Standard Specifications of Roads and Bridges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in imparting training shall be advantageous.
