Job Summary.

A great opportunity for Omani Accountant professionals! Based in Oman reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, Responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules, preparing GL and bank account reconciliations. Assisting with monthly closing, Account analysis and supporting the senior accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs daily accounting tasks, including accurate financial statement preparation, general ledger management, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, process journal entries, and manage GL account reviews, while maintaining compliance with reporting requirements and supporting audits.
• Assist Business Managers with financial queries, handle special projects, and identify opportunities for process automation to enhance efficiency and add value.
  
  

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance
• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of accounting-related experience.

• Software skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), with experience in JDE/ Oracle ERP, internal control processes, manual journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Behavioral Skills:
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently, and adaptable to additional tasks as needed.
