As a platform lead you will be managing all platform running on Hybrid cloud platform using DevOPS & agile ways of working. With overall responsibility of end-to-end Event, Incident, performance, release & change management of Vodafone Oman’s mission critical platforms including:

  • Liaison with all partners technical leads, Spocs, architects, various NOC’s, suppliers, and Managed Service partners to achieve highest service availability and best customer experience.
  • Bring in continual service improvement and enhancement, with highest quality through Automation. Managing, monitoring, and achieving the set KPI’s, SLAs for Technology Operations like Best Network & Service Availability, zero incidents caused by change etc.


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Responsible for restoring all critical incidents impacting or degrading services of Vodafone Oman, as early as possible and maintaining maximum Network & Service availability.
  • Manage unplanned interruption and disruptions to Vodafone IT, network, and services.
  • Ensure proper service, functional and regression testing of all release and changes in lower environment before deploying in production.
  • Ensure CI/CD & GitOPS is followed for all releases and changes.
  • Responsible for Maximum utilization of OSS tool capabilities & small, scripted automations for effective and efficient operation.
  • Ensuring proper vendor and supplier engagements for seamless service delivery through Stringent Governance.
  • Lead a Team of technical subject matter experts from each platform domain.


Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

Business Competencies:

  • Uses a range of research and data analysis techniques to identify changes in the operating environment that have a direct impact on service, customer, business.
  • Translates data into insights that identify opportunities and highlights threats to the business.
  • Be able to work independently and must have prior knowledge on how to manage, escalate and resolve telecom and IT technology issues in a management service context.


Functional Competencies:

  • E2E understanding of Mobile Network & IT application services, service flows for a Telecommunication service provider.
  • Detailed Understanding of Network and IT KPIs, KQIs and e2e service flows.
  • Experience in OpenShift Component services in Compute, Storage, Networking, and monitoring of applications.
  • Able to perform administration of hybrid cloud environment, Configuration of HA/DR.
  • Ability to make decisions outside of established procedures but within a policy framework.
  • At least 10 years work experience in similar technology operations Managed Services environments or similar DevOps environments.

  • Proactively Identifying Opportunities for automations, RPAs, and implement them through best possible option to deliver error free automation.
  • Development and implementation of OSS architecture and stack for VF Oman.
  • Compliance to ITIL, ETOM processes and agile ways of working.
  • Interpret complex technical information on networks/services (Telecom and IT) and effectively communicate to both non-technical and technical personnel by both written and verbal means
  • Maintains and updates documentation relating to services offered Provide reports, statistics and KPI dashboards as per agreed timelines and scope.
  • Platform & application availability > 99.9%
  • Faster resolution of P0 /P1 incidents as per set and agreed SLAs.



Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Information Technology from a recognized university or equivalent
  • Experience in Digital operations & Agile ways of working.
  • Understanding of Hybrid Cloud and Virtualized network Environment, Redhat open shift, open stack, CNFs, VNFs, Kubernetes
  • Good understanding of Online chagrining system, functions and service catalogue and rating group management.
  • Strong underrating of 4G, 5G, EPC, BSS, ERP, APIGW, and their integrations using TM Forum API.
