About the Role
The Technical Program Manager is a pivotal role focused on overseeing the local technological operations and aligning them with the company’s strategic business objectives. This position requires a dynamic individual who excels at orchestrating operational technology efforts and driving innovation to maintain technological excellence. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of cloud computing, fintech, and data analytics and be skilled in steering an organization toward optimizing operational efficiencies and implementing an AI-driven strategy.
What You Will Do
- Operational Technology Leadership: Define and orchestrate the local technology operations strategy, ensuring it aligns with broader business goals to enhance operational efficiency and innovation in cloud computing, fintech, and operational systems.
- Cloud Computing Management: Oversee the local implementation and maintenance of the cloud-based infrastructure, focusing on reliability, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Data Analytics and Operational Intelligence: Lead the adoption and optimization of BI tools and AI technologies, enhancing data-driven decision-making and operational insights within the local tech framework.
- Vendor and Project Oversight: Manage relationships with external software vendors and local tech teams, setting clear objectives, deliverables, and timelines while fostering solid cross-functional collaboration.
- Local Product and Service Enablement: Support product managers and local tech teams in rolling out new fintech solutions that are innovative, seamless, and aligned with the central technology directives.
- Security and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the local operations adhere to strict security International standards such as ISO 20022, local standards defined by Central Bank of Oman (CBO) and compliance requirements, safeguarding customers data and transactions and also liaison directly with CBO's payment system department.
What You Will Need
- Experience in Technical Operations: Proven background in a leadership role focused on technology operations, preferably within the fintech or cloud computing sectors.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong grasp of cloud-based infrastructure, data analytics, and the practical application of AI in operational settings, with a history of enhancing technology-driven business processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent bilingual communication abilities in Arabic and English, with the capacity to translate complex technical operations into clear strategic plans for non-technical stakeholders.
- Local Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the Omani banking sector, the specific technology, and the regulatory landscape.
- Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, ideally supplemented by significant experience managing IT operations or technical support teams.
- Entrepreneurial and Analytical Mindset: A strategic thinker with a passion for identifying and leveraging emerging technologies and trends in the digital and fintech sectors to enhance local operations.
