I&C Engineer will carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance, in a safe manner, of C&I systems & equipment to ensure high reliability, availability and reduced failure.

The job holder takes care of all I&C maintenance work in the plant and guides his team to achieve high reliability and availability of C&I systems, without compromising in any way the safety of person and equipment. He should be a team player with proactive attitude and dedicated to the above work requirements and in addition displays willingness to take on any added responsibility as dictated on a day to day basis under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager. He is expected to keep pace with relevant technological developments and should be quick to implement any such strategy for economic or long-term advantage for the company

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree holder of Instrumentation or Control or Electronics Engineering.

Minimum Experience:

• 10 years’ experience of working with C&I systems, ideally in a Power station.
• Prior experience of preventive & predictive maintenance in C&I systems for desalination plant, preferably in R.O Plant.
• Prior experience in Metso or similar DCS systems.
• Fully conversant with Field instrumentation and network communication.
• Fully conversant with safety and rescue rules.  

Skills

• Broad understanding of C&I principles and functional concepts.
• Understanding of risks and isolation requirements of field equipment.
• Good English communication and leadership skills.
• Sound understanding of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Satisfactory knowledge of International standards related to I&C.
• Knowledge of standard spares and cost.
• Experience in retrofitting systems.
