ROLE:
The Creative Lead is in charge of the overall look and feel of any creative output, for clients as well as internal
projects. He/she has the ability to motivate and inspire creativity across agency functions while maximizing
talent within the Creative team. The Head of Creative is a team player as well as a leader, working closely
with other department leads and specialists to deliver exceptional and engaging creative content that meets
and exceeds expectations. He/she drives strategic planning for the department, spearheads presentations
when required, monitors and actions quality assurance measures and shapes brand standards for the agency
as well as our clients.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of the “Creative Lead” are:
· Lead the Creative team in ideating, producing and executing engaging and visually/verbally clearly
articulated creatives for clients communication requirements across various channels and platforms,
including branding, creative concepts, event themes, advertising campaigns, social media, video &
photography and more
· Upkeep a hands-on approach, assisting the team with brainstorming or production/creation when
required, managing multiple deadlines at the same time
· Research and present design rationale and strategy, where required, always remaining open to client
or colleague input and constructive feedback
· Approve creative output of the department, making sure quality and creativity are at the forefront of
all of work
· Create and ensure the team and agency adheres to creative guidelines for new and existing clients
· Liaise with other departments, especially Content, Client Services, Traffic and New Business, on
integrated, multi-disciplinary requirements and briefs, driving the process where required
· Collaborate with vendors, freelancers and partners on creative projects, managing planning, sourcing,
budgeting, directing and executing to the highest of standards while keeping client and agency
interests in mind, as required
· Support and drive the hiring and mentoring of creative talent, collaborating for HOO and HR on career
and resource planning, KPI setting and review for the team
· Proactively keep departments, HODs and other stakeholders up-to-date on latest local and
international designs and trends, including AI, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and
agency growth
· Assist the HOO with devising departmental processes and strategies for relevant tools, collaboration,
approval, quality assurance, performance, productivity, project management and more, ensuring adherence with agency tools such as Monday.com for better management
Other responsibilities:
· Ensure the profitability of the department, in conjunction with HOO and executive management
· Maintain customer relations, where applicable, in a professional manner
· Advocate the agency’s work, forwarding new business opportunities to the HONB and GM where
applicable
Skills
Profile:
· At least a Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, marketing, advertising or similar
· A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field, of which at least 3-5 years in a managerial position
· Agency experience or background preferred
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with good Arabic and English (preferred)
· In-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models, as well as the
market and audiences
· Ability to articulate a verbal or visual vision clearly
· Must be a creative as well as strategic thinker
· Possess excellent leadership qualities, with the ability to maximize the talents of the team
· Focused on outcome, working as and when required to meet deadlines
Technical & Behavioural Competency:
Technical Competency :
Experience with design, animation and development tools and software, including Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), Animation softwares, AI tools, MS Office, HTML, PHP, and other relevant programmes
A solid background in copy, design and art direction is a must-have
Presentation skills in Arabic and English
