An
International Onshore drilling company is looking for experienced
Electricians to be based in KUWAIT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install new electrical equipment and systems as required, ensuring that installations are done in accordance with technical specifications and safety regulations.
- Run electrical wiring and conduit, install circuit breakers, panels, and other electrical infrastructure as needed.
- Test new installations to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and develop preventative maintenance plans.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure electrical systems are integrated seamlessly.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work and inspections.
- Comply with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among the team.
- Respond to electrical emergencies, such as power outages or equipment failures, and take appropriate action to restore power and ensure safety.
- Participate in emergency drills and ensure readiness to address electrical issues in emergency situations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements.
- Maintain an adequate supply of parts for emergency repairs.
- Monitor the operational performance of the Company's equipment. Identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional relevant electrical certifications or licenses, such as a Journeyman Electrician License.
- Experience of 3+years as an Electrician with land-based drilling rigs and familiarity with rig-specific electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment used in industrial or oil and gas settings.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
