Purpose of the Job
To perform the Front-End Engineering, Planning and Design of an assigned segment of the High-Risk (1)or Low-Risk (2) wells activities portfolio (well construction, Well and Reservoir Management and Abandonment), ensuring maximum optimization and efficiency to meet hydrocarbon production targets within budget whilst maintaining company HSE, technical, quality and operational standards.
Education & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Science or Geosciences discipline.
- 7 years in Well Engineering with a minimum of 3 years as Site Supervisor/Well Engineer Operations and a minimum of 3 years as Well Engineer P&D.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform the Planning and Design of an assigned segment of the High-Risk (1) or Low
- Risk (2) wells activities to facilitate a safe operation, in compliance with Personal Health and Safety, Wells Process Safety and Environmental Protection Standards, as outlined in
- CP-122-HSE Manual and subordinate Standards to meet company objectives and production targets.
- Contribute to smooth interfaces between the Well Engineering Planning & Design and the relevant Assets and WE Operations teams and the transfer of learning from one to the other to drive further optimization of well planning and design as well as rig and hoist operations.
- In collaboration with the WE Operations and the Contracts Sections, identify and implement technologies in order to improve all aspects of the Well Delivery Process
- Ensure sustained performance through improvement initiatives using “stair cases” and through tools, such as Drilling Engineering Optimization (DEO), eDtL, Lean etc. Provide input into Cost Engineering throughout the Well Delivery Process up to DG4.
- Exhibit Lean behaviours, in compliance with PDO’s corporate Lean deployment Model, in all activities performed within their daily business to realize continuous sustained performance improvement
- Use the Well Engineering KIM framework and contribute towards making UWD a learning organization.
- Live the PDO Values (Honesty, Integrity, Respect for People), exhibit the PDO behaviors (Engagement, Respect, Collaboration and Performance) and act as role model for colleagues and subordinates
- Diverse portfolio including highly complex HPHT designer wells (High-Risk (1) or a “factory-type” well delivery approach (Low-Risk (2))
- Multiple interfaces with diverse assets (XEP, OSP, GGP 1) or OSP, ONP (2)
- Sequence stability
- Constant cost reduction pressures related to a dynamic business environment.
