Based at InterContinental Muscat, this position implements and leads the revenue management operations, procedures and best practices and identifies and optimizes existing and new revenue opportunities throughout all hotel revenue streams with the objective to optimize every revenue tab and to generate maximum profit. The position ensures all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity.


A little taste of your day-to-day:


Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:


  • The position applies the tools provided (i.e. IBP, SBRP, Concerto) and in compliance with the IHG standards, maintains, updates and shares information in the areas of a master calendar of external events, competitor rate intelligence, RevPar penetration (RGI), arrival and spending patterns of commercial accounts, denial reports, meeting space allocation, guest capture rates (with the F&B Manager), Loyalty program penetration both overall and by account (and for bookers), system contribution and trends in rooms and non-rooms revenues by channel, segment and account.
  • Ensures all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity. Monitors daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments, reporting and optimized room inventory control.
  • On hand of various relevant intelligence reports, monitors competitor pricing and performs competitive benchmark studies and follows market trends. Understands the dynamic of the local market and its demand generators and recommends appropriate actions in relation to the hotel’s pricing and market mix strategy. 
  • Understands the composition of hotel profitability and uses this to evaluate business from local accounts and groups so as to provide input to future rate setting, market mix and negotiation. 

What We need from you:


  • Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Revenue Management or Business Administration.
  • 3 years of similar hotel experience in Revenue Management and proven experience in reservations management within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of reservation software and revenue management systems as well understanding how Sales & Marketing and F&B Operations clicks.
