ROLE SUMMARY
This role is responsible for overseeing all Legal and Corporate Affairs matters of Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment across the region to ensure compliance with applicable laws, minimizing risk, and supporting informed decision making. The role is also responsible for safeguarding the company against legal exposure in areas such as leasing contract administration, franchise agreements, claims and disputes, litigation, and other potential legal issues.

 

 


ROLE PROFILE

  • Manage legal matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws, minimize risk, and support informed decision-making
  • Assist in overseeing litigation, monitor external counsel performance, and manage billings to ensure quality support and value for money
  • Review agreements to ensure legal compliance, manage risk, and achieve commercial objectives
  • Provide guidance on regional laws and regulations impacting the company's business
  • Assist in formulating legal strategies for commercial negotiations and litigation and participate in negotiations with third parties as needed
  • Advise the company and executives on legal matters to ensure compliance, minimize risk, and support informed decision-making
  • Support corporate governance activities, including company establishment and liquidation, trade license management, board meetings, signatory authority updates, and powers of attorney
  • Draft, amend, and review agreements


REQUIREMENTS

  • Law degree from an accredited university.
  • 6+ years’ legal experience in both private practice and in-house in similar role
  • Expert level of English communication, both written and oral
  • Knowledge in drafting complex retail related, civil & commercial agreements
  • Gulf Cooperation Council, regional, or other international experience.
  • Articulate and good Presentation Skills.
