Role Purpose:

The position is responsible for ensuring that all retail units are fully operational by the established trade date, as per the Retail Design approved drawings, following AMBU’s RDD Delivery guidelines, in line with per local authority regulations

 

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

•    Continually support the evolution of Retail Delivery collateral to simplify the delivery process whilst ensuring the construction and fit-out of the retail units remain safe and are delivered to a high standard. Protect Majid Al Futtaim's basebuild and landlord systems, mitigate risk, and remain aligned with local authority regulations.
•    Brief the Retail Partners on Delivery criteria and processes, provide continued support throughout the mobilisation, authority approvals, fit-out, commissioning and project close-out stages whilst adhering to strict RDD milestones, ensuring no loss of rent for scheduled openings.
•    Provide Retail Partners with creative, relevant, viable, practical, cost-effective construction and fit-out solutions if their methods don’t meet Majid Al Futtaim standards. 
•    Attend and participate in weekly forums with peers (or other key stakeholders within Asset management Business Unit / Development) to discuss administrative challenges (contractor insurance/ fit-out deposits/ etc) logistics, construction and technical challenges, Health and Safety inspections, contractor ratings, local authority practices, cost-reduction initiatives, support colleagues, learn, and help each-other in achieving stand-out fit-outs for Maajid Al Futtaim malls. 
•    Monitor, track, and accurately record project progress via an online system (CRM), and attend weekly progress update meetings ensuring stakeholders are continually informed.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with:
Retail Partners, their project Managers, Design team, Contractors, Builders and/or Shop Fitters, 

•    Maintain continuous contact with the Asset’s Leasing and other commercial teams to fully understand the agreed deal, (line shops/ kiosks/ marketing activations) and to allow timely coordination on agreed T&C’s, LVRs, TVRs, tracking related critical activities, ensuring the unit is ready for hand-over to the retail partner on the agreed deadline.
•    Coordinate TVR and LVR works, costs, program and impact with internal and external stakeholders and ensure that minimum hindrance is faced during delivery. Support in tenant billing process as required.
•    Keep Mall Management and Mall Operation informed of tenant fit-out progress and timelines, and minimise impact on Mall environment during tenant fit-out phases. (noise, space reduction, site deliveries, untidy appearance, etc)
•    Ensure compliance with the Majid Al Futtaim Properties Asset Management Business Unit’s Code of Conduct, Departmental policies and HC Policies and Procedures at all times.
