Role Objective: Sample analysis and LIMS data entry and analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving sample in the chemistry department and allocate it to analyst in LIMS
- Collect the results work sheet and enter in the LIMS on daily basis
- Arranging sample in the sample room before and after analysis
- Retrieve sample from sample room and arrange analysis as and when required.
- Disposal of sample on timely basis as per plan on regular interval.
- Sample analysis for composition and nutritional analytes.
- Sample analysis for physical, sensory and shelf-life studies.
- Sample analysis for effect of storage conditions on composition and nutritional analytes.
- Analysis of samples for contaminants and packaging material residues.
- Any other new analysis planned by laboratory and management.
- Market sample analysis as per customers or GSO requirements
- Record keeping of all the analysis and entering data in LIMS.
- Up to date with scientific and technical developments
- Method development (as per standards) for the above-mentioned analysis.
- Working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Being aware of, and keeping up to date with, health and safety issues.
- Validating methods and calibration of equipment.
- Implementation of good laboratory practices
- Calibration and performance of lab equipment s/Balances
- Variable responsibilities are contingent on workload vis a vis primary responsibilities and Company needs.
- Ready to work overtime, weekends, shifts and during holidays.
Desired Candidate Profile
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS GUIDELINES- Education: (Minimum) Diploma in food technology/ Food Science/Chemistry/Applied chemistry/Science.
- Experience: (Years and nature of experience) 0-3 Years of Experience Some Experience from Food and water testing Laboratory is desirable.
- Special Skills & Knowledge:
- Computer literate and having IT skills related to configuration of software program LIMS.
- Good knowledge of type of foods and its storage requirements.
- Knowledge of inventory management.
- Hands on lab analysis experience from relevant field.
- Hands on experience on advance lab equipment.
- Strong food chemistry knowledge and background.
- Knowledge on GLP.
- Knowledge of Microbiological Analysis.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025.
- Knowledge of calibration, methods validation and uncertainty measurement
- Solid track record with an analytical lab & troubleshooting analytical equipment.
- Proven knowledge of quality systems, analytical lab equipment validation
- Strong communicator
- Ideally a strong background within a regulated lab function ideally within food,
- Knowledge Occupational hazards and safety precautions necessary in the workplace.
- Data management and reporting.
