Role & responsibilities Supervise daily production activities for: o GRP/FRP panel water tanks o SMC electrical enclosures and cabinets Plan and allocate manpower, machines, and materials to meet production schedules. Monitor production output and ensure on-time delivery. Optimize workflow and minimize production downtime. Coordinate with planning, quality, maintenance, and warehouse departments. Supervise the operation of: o Hydraulic compression press machines o SMC molding presses o FRP/GRP fabrication equipment o Trimming, drilling, cutting, and finishing equipment Ensure machines are operated safely and efficiently. Coordinate preventive maintenance and report equipment breakdowns. Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements. Ensure manufactured products meet customer specifications and quality standards. Conduct in-process inspections and final product verification. Monitor dimensional accuracy, surface finish, curing quality, and assembly. Coordinate corrective and preventive actions for quality issues. Reduce defects, rework, and material wastage. Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures. Ensure proper use of PPE by all employees. Maintain safe handling of resins, fiberglass, catalysts, and chemicals. Conduct daily safety inspections. Report accidents, incidents, and near misses. Promote 5S and good housekeeping practices. Supervise production operators, technicians, and helpers. Assign daily work and monitor employee performance. Train new employees on production processes and safety requirements. Conduct toolbox talks and shift meetings. Motivate employees to achieve productivity and quality targets. Monitor raw material consumption. Coordinate material availability with stores and procurement. Control production waste and improve material utilization. Maintain proper storage of SMC sheets, resins, fiberglass, and finished products. Prepare daily production reports. Record machine downtime and maintenance requests. Maintain production, quality, and safety records. Report production performance and issues to management. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, efficiency, and downtime. Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes. Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives. Recommend process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs. Support new product development and process validation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Must have practical, hands-on experience in at least two of the three areas, and working knowledge of the third GRP / FRP hand lay-up, filament winding, and laminating processes. Acrylic sheet thermoforming, vacuum forming, and resin/fibre glass reinforcement. SMC / DMC compression moulding using hydraulic hot presses. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum 56 years of experience in GRP/FRP manufacturing, preferably in panel water tanks and SMC molded products
