Join a leading O&M organization supporting one of Oman’s key Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power facilities. As an I&C Engineer, you will ensure the safe, reliable, and optimized performance of plant instrumentation, control systems, and automation infrastructure — playing a critical role in maintaining availability, efficiency, and operational excellence.
What you’ll do:Lead preventive and corrective maintenance of all I&C systems, including transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and field instrumentation. Support the continuous operation of the plant’s DCS, PLC, and control networks, ensuring system integrity and minimal downtime. Troubleshoot complex instrumentation and control faults across gas turbines, HRSG, steam turbines, and balance-of-plant systems. Participate in commissioning, calibration, loop checks, and functional testing during outages and major maintenance. Review and enhance preventive maintenance programs to improve asset reliability and reduce reactive work. Provide technical support for modifications, upgrades, and reliability improvement initiatives. Ensure I&C maintenance documentation, work orders, and reports are accurately maintained within the CMMS (SAP preferred). Collaborate with operations, electrical, and mechanical teams to support plant performance targets. Assist in preparing spare parts forecasts, technical evaluations, and maintenance budgets. Ensure compliance with HSSE regulations, control-room safety standards, and company operating procedures. Promote continuous improvement in maintenance methods, troubleshooting practices, and control system optimization.
What we’re looking for:Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.5–8 years’ experience in I&C maintenance within CCGT or power generation environments. Strong working knowledge of DCS/PLC architectures (e.g., Siemens, GE, Emerson, Yokogawa). Experience with instrumentation calibration, loop tuning, control logic, and process automation. Familiarity with gas turbine and HRSG I&C systems and protection schemes. Proficiency with CMMS systems, technical reporting, and maintenance planning. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities with a commitment to safety and compliance.
