Purpose of the Job
The Integrated Supply Chain (incl. In-Country Value) Director is responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations, as well as promoting local content and value creation in the geographical regions where the company operates. It is also is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end process of acquiring goods, services, and materials needed for the company's operations through effective contracting, procurement, and supply chain management.
Overall, the Integrated Supply Chain Directorate plays a crucial role in optimizing supply chain operations, promoting local content and value creation, ensuring compliance, managing risks, and driving performance improvement in the company.
The Integrated Supply Chain Director oversees and optimizes all aspects of the supply chain, from sourcing and procurement to logistics and distribution, within the company. With a focus on integration and efficiency, the role aims to drive operational excellence, maximize in-country value, and ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain functions to support the company's strategic objectives.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in supply chain management, with extensive experience in leadership roles within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven record of accomplishment of driving integrated supply chain strategies, optimizing end-to-end processes, and delivering measurable business results.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and geopolitical challenges.
Experience in promoting in-country value and fostering partnerships with local stakeholders is desirable.
Main Responsibilities
The Key Responsibilities Include
- Integrated Supply Chain Management: Develop and implement strategies to optimize the end-to-end supply chain, including sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. Coordinate with various internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, finance, and marketing, to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with business objectives.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and risk mitigation within the supply chain, leveraging technology, data analytics, and best practices.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply of goods and services.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to maximize value and minimize risk for the company. Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements, implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain quality and reliability.
- In-Country Value (ICV) Management: Develop and implement ICV strategies and initiatives to maximize local content and value creation in the countries where the company operates.
Collaborate with government agencies, local communities, and industry partners to identify opportunities for local procurement, employment, and capacity building.
Monitor and report on ICV performance metrics, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company commitments.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including geopolitical, regulatory, and operational risks, to ensure continuity of operations and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Develop and implement robust compliance programs to ensure adherence to ethical standards, anti-corruption laws, and corporate governance requirements.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain, including process optimization, technology adoption, and innovation.
Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration across the supply chain organization, encouraging employees to identify and implement best practices and new ideas.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the performance of the integrated supply chain and ICV initiatives.
Monitor performance against targets, analyzing data and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive corrective actions.
Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into supply chain performance and ICV achievements.
