DHL Global Forwarding Oman has an opening for a Business Development Manager LCL where you will develop and administer business development plans and processes to generate new/ additional business, maximize profit and grow market share in line with business strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies.  Join us now in connecting people and improving lives.


 

In this Business Development Manager LCL position


 
  • You will execute business development plans and processes to achieve targeted customer growth and retention rate, revenue targets and budgets.
  • You will deliver projects and initiatives to develop new business and maximize exposure for DHL amongst targeted prospects.
  • You will undertake market studies and feasibility studies to assess market potential and analyze target groups.
  • You will prospect new business development opportunities through market research, developing marketing initiatives, etc.
  • You will initiate contact with targeted prospects, identify decision makers and work to understand strategic business challenges and priorities.
  • You will identify prospective customer needs and matches these with DHL’s services.
  • You will develop leads, conduct pre-proposal visitations, prepare difficult proposals and conduct negotiations to close.
  • You will maintain and build relationships with prospects and potential key accounts including prospects’ highest buying levels and coordinate the activities of prospect-focused teams.
  • You will initiate new business relationships with non-buying accounts that have been targeted by the company.
  • You will partner with local, district and regional management to coordinate customer requests and services that are being promoted.
  • You will coordinate sales efforts with inside sales and provide flow of data on account competitors and suppliers to product management.
  • You will identify problems that may not be clear in own area of authority and modify work methods accordingly without the benefit of defined procedures.
  • You will convince external parties to accept complete proposals and programs, typically others have an interest exists to accept new concepts, practices, and approach.
  • You may provide functional guidance, advice, or training to less experienced business development positions.
  • You will connect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g., external service providers.
  • You may convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
  • You will build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managers.
  • You will understand customer and key stakeholders’ interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers, and key stakeholders.
  • You will provide technical guidance to line managers and employees.

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent experience/qualification.
  • 4 years’ experiences or more.
