We are looking for a skilled DPI Engineer to design, implement, and optimize Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) solutions for telecom and ISP networks. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in telecom architecture, policy enforcement, and integration with real-time charging systems and network elements such as GGSN/PGW.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy DPI solutions using platforms such as Sandvine, Allot, Huawei, or CUBRO.
- Integrate DPI with third-party systems like PCRF, OCS, IMS, and core telecom network nodes (GGSN/PGW).
- Develop and implement traffic shaping, throttling, redirection, congestion management, and usage-based policies.
- Write and maintain scripts and automation tools for DPI configuration and deployment (e.g., SandScript, Shell, Python).
- Analyze network traffic data and performance metrics using tools like Wireshark, Seagull, and SOAP-UI.
- Coordinate with telecom operators for requirements gathering, UAT, and system validation.
- Participate in network upgrades, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during post-deployment phases.
- Support the integration of DPI with cyber security and analytics platforms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in telecom or ISP environments, working on DPI, PCRF/PCEF, and policy control.
- Strong hands-on experience with Sandvine, Huawei, Allot, or similar DPI platforms.
- In-depth understanding of Gx, Gy, Rx, Rf, Sy, and other Diameter interfaces.
- Experience with real-time charging, policy enforcement, and convergent billing systems.
- Familiarity with Linux, Oracle, SQL, and UNIX scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Skills
- Certifications in Sandvine, CAMEL/SCP, or DPI platforms.
- Exposure to telecom regulatory projects or cybersecurity DPI applications.
- Experience working with multinational telecom operators and government regulatory authorities.
