Marketing Manager

You will have overall responsibility for the marketing activity within a business, you would be responsible for strategizing, analyzing, while making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish with clients or colleagues alike.

Able to understand and communicate the brand concept in every output, you’ll be confident in operating within a fast paced environment, managing the business strategy, budgeting, a dynamic range of marketing channels, PR strategies and a finger on the pulse of the environment in which we operate to stay ahead of the trends and market place to ensure the brand is always relevant to our target audience. 

You will be required to partner with several business functions including, IT operators and software, financial reporting, operations, and product development to create and deliver annual external and internal communications strategies to promote our offer and brand.

You’ll be collaborative and open by nature. Creative with a passion for hospitality and excellent communication skills. You will also nurture and grow strong relationships with existing contacts and be proactive in outreach activities to establish new partnerships and connections. 

 

Key Skills 

  • A food and drink background with either agency or in-house would be ideal, a good working knowledge of the food and beverage industry. 
  • Experienced at brand development and execution
  • Good communication & presentation skills
  • Calm and agile in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a good understanding of data and able to read, review and create actions for data analytics.
  • Strong commercial acumen and numerical skills. Able to work with analytics and financial budgeting formats.
  • Ability to translate emerging market trends & competitor activity into our own business
  • Develop and execute integrated digital strategies - social media, online influencers, e-commerce - and be abreast of potential for digital application across all activity and monitor competitor activity.
  • Demonstrated written skills including press releases, marketing material and social content/copy
  • Creative & strategic thinking in developing periodic, quarterly plans that lead to annual objectives
  • Experience of managing a group both internal and external to the business. 
  • The ability to be flexible and cross-functional within the business 
  • Appreciation between outputs and outcomes, recognizing the importance of demonstrating ROI
  • Highly driven, passionate, self-motivated and uses initiative. 
  • A solution focused attitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve

     KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


Project Management. End-to end governance, communication and delivery of campaigns and projects which are aligned to the overall brand strategy.Brand Development. Ensure is always relevant for the marketplace. You will use consumer trends, competitor activity and market opportunities to inform your decision making. Brand Partnerships. Be curious to investigate collaborations between our brand/formats and key suppliers/ charities/other brands to increase our exposure.F&D Proposition. Support of the Food and Drink menu design and development to ensure the brand strategy is align between functions. Able to understand menu engineering to assist in the development the most marketable proposition that is NOT reliant on discounting and offers.Promotional Strategy. Develop a promotion strategy to drive footfall, bookings, awareness, Increase SPH and pre-booked offers. Pricing. Assist the senior team with the Implementation pricing strategy decisions and respond to macro-economic changesCentral campaigns & Key date activity. You will create and ensure execution of the annual campaign & activity calendar to ensure there’s always a compelling reason to engage and visit.360 Digital Campaigns: Ensuring all marketing activity has a 360 digital marketing approach which encompass websites, emails and social. Management of organic and paid social as well as website campaigns and email campaign content with the overall focus on review and actioning of results.Ops Board Reporting. Weekly and monthly reports will be generated by you order for the Directors to highlight key opportunities and risks within your brand/format.Operations Engagement. Work closely with the Operations team to deliver all brand/format activity ensuring clear communications and engagement.Stakeholder synergy. Work with key internal and external stakeholders to develop plans in line with Brand objectives. You will need to work closely with these teams to manage and monitor timings effectively and ensure key deadlines are communicated fully.Channel & Agency Management. Fully optimize the use of multiple marketing channels to drive awareness and engagement. You will ensure robust KPI management process with detailed reporting and action. Budget Management. You will be accountable for development and management of marketing budget.Data Management – You will be required to understand data analytics on various platforms in addition to website SEO. IT/Systems – You will have experience working with delivery and restaurant booking platforms. Able to manage a website and its content/copy. CRM – Using our IT providers to increase engagement via guest loyalty, promotions, and mailing lists. Creativity – Able to create and manage content creation both still and video based and manage graphic design work for required POS and external use.
