- Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues with automotive AC systems and electrical components.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on AC systems, including recharging refrigerant, replacing compressors, and repairing leaks.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems to diagnose and repair faults in wiring, circuits, switches, and other components.
- Repair or replace faulty electrical components such as alternators, starters, batteries, and wiring harnesses.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Document all work performed accurately and thoroughly in service records.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to customers regarding AC and electrical system maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure timely completion of jobs and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Skills
1. Proven experience as a Car Mechanic specializing in AC and electrical systems.
2. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing automotive AC systems, including knowledge of refrigerant handling procedures.
3. Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, including wiring diagrams and troubleshooting techniques.
4. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in automotive repair.
5. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
6. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
7. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers.
8. Certification from a recognized automotive technical school or equivalent experience is preferred.
9. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
10. Have Tire Replacement Experience
