تحت الإشراف المباشر، يتدرب ويصبح مألوفاً بخطة السلامة الكيميائية وبمعايير السلامة المختبرية الحالية HSE. يتبع القواعد والأنظمة السلامة المحددة في أداء الواجبات الموكلة. يؤدي الواجبات لإجراء اختبارات النماذج الأولية أو الاختبارات المخبرية وفق الإجراءات المحددة. يتعلم بناء المعدات و/أو إجراء اختبارات أساسية على المواد أو البيئة باستخدام تقنيات أساسية مع معدات كهربائية/إلكترونية وكيميائية وآلية. يتعلم توثيق بيانات الاختبار لأغراض التقارير. يحافظ على الملفات والوثائق المتعلقة بمعدات الاختبار ونتائج الاختبار للمعدات. المهام الوظيفية، عند تنفيذها بشكل صحيح، ليس لها تأثير كبير على قابلية المنظمة للبقاء.
المرشح المطلوب
المهارات: كيميائي، عمليات/تقنية مخبرية
التعليم: المدرسة الثانوية / الثانوية
عادةً ما تكون الخبرة عبر ثماني (8) ساعات من كيمياء الكلية (مفضل).
Under direct supervision, trains and becomes familiar with the chemical hygiene plan and the current HSE laboratory safety standards. Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing assigned duties. Performs duties to conduct prototype or laboratory tests following prescribed procedures. Learns to build equipment and/or perform basic material or environmental tests using basic techniques with electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical equipment. Learns to document test data for reporting purposes. Maintains files and documentation related to test equipment and test results of equipment. Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization.

Skills typically through eight (8) hours of college chemistry (preferred).
