NI Deployment Service Field Competence Support Engineer will be part of MEA NI DS team managing Deployment Service activities in Oman and Middle East, working closely with MEA NI RBC Customer Delivery team for deployment service delivery. And with PLM, Practice and Site Engineering Service teams in Global Deployment team. Supporting IP, Optical & Fixed network deployment.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
Ensures the customer project acceptance strategy for field acceptance part incorporating relevant references from relevant stakeholders.
- Independently customizes and documents technical procedures, test protocols, configuration guides, Method of Procedures (MOPs), Detailed Level Procedures (DLPs), provisioning appropriate work instructions for field tools and measurement equipment.
- Acts as the first technical point of contact during the execution of the telecom implementation activities, ensuring rapid solution to the reported issues.
- Demonstrates the capability to perform regular root cause analysis on process output and deliverables seeking for productivity, quality and cost improvements.
- Responds to other field functions and sourcing/offer preparation phase: contributing to installation solution, definition of scope of work, Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quote (RFQ) process, assessing technical capabilities of suppliers.
- Prepares and executes product and workmanship trainings and certifications for subcontracted or internal resources according to the Training and Certification Delivery Model.
- Provides input related to the technical evaluation of supplier performance.
- Hold regular Vendor/OAM Rom meetings review staffing and deployment needs (resources, procedures, Kickoffs, vendor competence) Monitors the orders forms for requests validating scope and denoting completion.
Key Skills And Experience
- The Field Competence Support Engineer acts as the technical subject expert on all field activities, supporting the field force internal or external teams to ensure the technical quality level is reached according to contractual obligations (scope of work, SLAs).
- Bachelor degree in Engineering with 2 years experience in managing large scale projects.
- Develop KPI & SLA reporting and report adherence to delivery model, tools and deployment process.
- Excellent communications skills - fluent in verbal and written English
- Interpersonal, intercultural and teamwork skills in a geographically distributed team
- Strong expertise in NI deployment service portfolio and tools
- Key competences: Customer Focus, Drive for Results, Project, Quality, Supplier & Cost Management, pre-sales support and transformation management.
- Experience in rollout of IP, Optics and Fixed networks
